Learning, Sharing, Growing: Inside Our Latest Haircutting Class

This week, we welcomed Kazuyo, the owner of OneLeaf Salon in Sierra Madre, into our studio for a women’s haircut class. For Eddie, it was a special reunion — he and Kazuyo worked side by side over a decade ago at KC Stylist, and reconnecting through education felt like coming full circle.

At Edition, haircuts are more than just a service. To us, haircutting is architecture, sculpture, and art — a way to shape confidence and express personality. And while we dedicate ourselves to the craft every day, we know mastery is not about being perfect. It’s about staying curious, open, and always learning. That’s why sharing knowledge — with masters, with peers, and even with juniors — is at the heart of what we do.

Our team loved the energy of this class, especially hosting it in our brand-new home, Edition Studio in San Gabriel. It was inspiring, refreshing, and a reminder of why we love this craft so much.

We’ll continue to learn, to share, and to push ourselves so that every client who sits in our chair feels the difference — not just in their haircut, but in the care and artistry behind it.

Here’s to more classes, more collaboration, and more great haircuts for our community.
